Roshelle Fong is a Chinese-Australian multidisciplinary artist and a participant in Melbourne Theatre Company’s Women in Theatre Program 2019.
In 2018, she won the Multicultural Arts Victoria Award for Innovation in Culturally Diverse Practice at Melbourne Fringe Festival for her premiere iteration of nomnomnom, and has since adapted the show in Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland, as part of the HEIMA artist residency, and at Testing Grounds, supported by the City of Melbourne and the Australia Council for the Arts.
Later this year she will take nomnomnom to Shanghai, supported by the Ian Potter Cultural Trust, and write for ‘She is Vigilante’ at Theatreworks. She is also one of Next Wave Festival 2020’s 29 commissioned artists.
Roshelle is an alumnus of the Malthouse Theatre’s Besen Family Artist Programme, Malthouse Theatre’s Vanguard Shadow Board programme and Footscray Community Arts Centre’s Emerging Cultural Leaders Programme. She has produced and performed work at such events as RAW Comedy Festival, Auckland Fringe Festival and at the Sydney Opera House.
