Rob Johnson

Rob Johnson is a Sydney-based actor, singer and comedian.

He has frequently collaborated with independent music theatre company Squabbalogic, most notably in the leading role of Velociraptor of Innocence in Triassic Parq.

He also appeared in Squab’s productions of Man of La Mancha, Sondheim on Sondheim and Carrie the Musical, for which he was nominated for a Theatre People Pro Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.

Rob played seven characters in Sydney Philharmonia Choirs’ production of Gershwin’s Of Thee I Sing, and created the role of Detective Jimmy Hartman in Hayes Theatre Co’s The Detective’s Handbook, under the direction of Jonathan Biggins. He played Francis Fryer in the Hayes Theatre Company production of Calamity Jane.

Rob is one half of comedy duo Mantaur (NSW Theatresports champions), and enjoyed a sell-out extended run at the 2015 Sydney International Comedy Festival. Mantaur represented Australia at the 2015 Theatresports World Cup.
