Eugene Lynch is Artistic Director of The Other Theatre.
He is currently directing its upcoming production of Dido & Aeneas. Eugene is also a Young Director with Pacific Opera, where he is currently assisting Kate Gaul on Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel.
For the Other Theatre, Eugene’s credits include: Richard II, Cock (Sydney Mardi Gras Festival) and the Australian premiere of Marius von Mayenburg’s The Dog, The Night and The Knife. Eugene’s other experience includes Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing; Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Kander & Ebb’s Cabaret, Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, Noel Coward’s Design for Living and David Williamson’s Brilliant Lies. He has also directed Pacific Opera’s Viennese Gala and Mother’s Day Concerts. Eugene is a two-time recipient of the USU’s Bright Ideas Grant.
Eugene recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws at Sydney Law School.
