Urza and the Song in the Dark

Date: 22 Jun 2021

In Urza and the Song in the Dark, a mysterious song leads a young girl on an adventure into the depths of the earth.

Along the way she befriends a lost explorer, gets pursued by an ancient dark force and finds herself caught up in a primeval story of myth and legend.

Shadow and Song combine to tell an intimate story presented by physical performers and puppeteers working with shadow projections and live music from a host of quirky instruments.

Young audiences will be able to sit up close to the action while puppets fly above their heads and performers play within touching distance.

Created by Matriark Theatre,Urza and the Song in the Dark is an original work for young and old, perfect for children ages 8+ but with appeal for anyone with a wild imagination.
