Time for a change …

Date: 27 Jun 2022

After five years, Audrey Journal will cease to publish new content from June 30, 2022.

It feels like the right time to pull the plug and make some space for new ideas in this little corner of the publishing realm. We’re very much wedded to the idea of change for its own sake.

Thank you to everyone who has engaged with the site since 2017, and to the many creatives who have contributed, sharing their vision for an upcoming production or commenting on our performing arts culture more broadly.

To all those organisations and individual who have helped keep Audrey Journal afloat over the years – led by Gordon Stalley, City of Sydney, Bondi Festival, KXT/bAKEHOUSE and Riverside Theatres Parramatta – thank you.

And a big thank you to all of our reviewers. It’s been a pleasure to publish your thoughts. Particular thanks are due to our regular contributors Cassie Tongue and Kate Prendergast.

The site will remain online as an archive of Sydney’s theatre scene from 2017-2022.

It’s been a blast, really. We’ll miss it.

Elissa and Jason (co-founders and editors)
