The Gospel According to Paul

Date: 2 Jun 2019

Beyond the canny impersonation (made famous through his annual turns in The Wharf Revue), Jonathan Biggins has long been fascinated by former PM Paul Keating and what Keating means to Australia.

Showcasing the eviscerating wit, rich rhetoric and ego the size of Everest, he now distils Keating’s essence into a new play, focussing on key biographical milestones, landmark political achievements and personal obsessions.

It reveals the man who grew up in the tribe of the Labor Party and gained an education at the knee of Jack Lang, who treated economics as an artform, and demanded we confront the wrongs of our colonial past.
