The Flick

Date: 26 Mar 2018

After delivering the Sydney premiere of The Aliens in 2015, Outhouse Theatre Co return to the work of American playwright Annie Baker, this time her 2014 Pulitzer Prize winner The Flick.

Set in a decrepit Massachusetts movie house, it observes the humdrum day of three minimum wage employees as they sweep the floors, mop up spilled soda and try to keep one of the last 35mm projectors running.

As they banter and sweep the popcorn from the floor, the trio reveal longing, hopes and a compelling story all their own.

Craig Baldwin directs. Mia Lethbridge, Justin Amankwah, Jeremy Waters and Matt Cheetham star.
