The Brainstorm

Date: 10 Jun 2021

Victor Hugo, exiled and alone in his studio on the island of Guernsey, weaves together the essential threads of a ripping yarn which will become his next best-selling novel.

He conjures a cast of characters spicing their relationships with obsession, love, betrayal, sacrifice and a good dash of skulduggery.

Hugo was a restless, creative polymath, a great romantic and a social progressive. In The Brainstorm Patrick Dickson explores his predicament and his process while exiled from France for 15 years on the island of Guernsey.

Directed by Maeliosa Stafford, The Brainstorm features Hugo’s own illustrations of this Romantic Adventure animated by Scott Baker.

**Alongside all other productions in this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival, this production has been cancelled**
