Tall Poppy

Date: 25 Oct 2021

From the dust and heat of rural Australia to the glitz and glamour of the roaring ’20s, this fish-out-of-water story fuses the past and the present to tell the tale of the first Miss Australia – Beryl Mills.

Created by Adeline Clouston, Jake Nielsen, Amelia Burke and Matthew Predny, Tall Poppy began its life as a Fringe cabaret in 2017 and was subsequently developed into a two act musical. In August 2021, the show concluded its professional tour of regional WA.

This script-in-hand concert reading – featuring Skye Beker, Madeleine Jones, Grace Driscoll and composer Predny marks the show’s NSW premiere.
