St Joan

Date: 5 May 2018

Based on transcripts from her trial and the extraordinary events of the life of Joan of Arc, this new production offers a stripped-back, modern reworking of George Bernard Shaw’s 1923, written three years after after the Catholic church made her a saint.

This Saint Joan places a heroic young woman at the centre of her own story; the true story of Joan’s fight – first for her country, then for her life against the monolithic might of the state, the military and the church.

Sarah Snook stars alongside John Gaden, Socratis Otto, Anthony Taufa, Brandon McClelland and William Zappa. Imara Savage directs.
