Becca and Howie are struggling to come to terms with the death of their four-year-old son in a traffic accident.

Becca, in particular, is unable to move on. Life in their comfortable suburban home is on hold and everyone is on eggshells. Then Becca’s brassy sister Izzy announces she is pregnant.
