Drawing on the lives and perspectives of five young female-identifying performers from Western SydneyPlaylist explores the state of feminisms through pop culture and music.

Directed by Karen Therese, Playlist unpacks women’s experiences – particularly the experiences of young women of colour – in an adrenaline rush of a show that blends street dance forms, pop songs and lyrics into an unconventional and confronting dance theatre experience.

The cast collectively represents a unique and powerful cross section of contemporary Australia, featuring Ebube Uba, a Nigerian-Australian actor and dancer; Neda Taha, a Tongan-Iraqi Australian hip hop dancer in Sydney’s underground club scene; Vietnamese-Australian slam poet May Tran; comedic actor Tasha O’Brien; and Croatian Australian emerging pop star Mara Knezevic.
