Metamorphosis

Date: 10 Jan 2019

The ordinary, unremarkable life of the Samsas is turned upside down when their son, Gregor emerges one morning transformed into a monstrous insect.

As revulsion turns to resentment, strange things start to happen to the Samsa family …

Adapted and British director David Farr and Iceland’s Gisli Örn Gardarsson, this overtly political version moves the setting Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis (1912) forward in time by a couple of decades to a lower middle class house in a middle European city.

Amanda Stephens-Lee directs (with movement direction from Shondelle Pratt). The production stars Sam Glissan, Madeleine Miller, Hailey McQueen, Yannick Lawry, Julian Lawrence and Victoria Greiner.
