Homage to Hollywood

Date: 1 May 2019

Some of Sydney’s best and legendary cabaret and drag performers gather at the Hollywood Hotel to pay tribute to its landlady, the remarkable Doris Goddard.

Doris has raised the glass ceiling for women in this city. Leaving Sydney as a youngster, she broke into the film industry in England, performed cabaret around the world, returned to Australia, and has since become one of the veteran publicans in NSW. Over the years Doris has also written and performed her own music.

This series of tribute shows features resident showgirls, Suzie St James and Connie Cartier and an array of special guest artists including DJ Miss Victoria Anthony, Christa Hughes (May 25), Melissa Ali and Malika Lam (June 1), Miss Monique Kelly and Lada Marks June 8) and the one and only Carlotta (June 15).
