Berliner Festspiel has programmed a short season of bold productions from Germany to watch, free-of-charge from May 2.

The productions are:

Hamlet (May 2-3) – Schauspielhaus Bochum, directed by Johan Simons.

Anatomy of a Suicide (May 3-4), Deutsches SchauSpielHaus Hamburg, directed by Katie Mitchell

The Insults of Mankind (May 4-5), Münchner Kammerspiele, directed by Anta Helena Recke

Sweet Bird of Youth (May 6-7), Schauspiel Leipzig, directed by Claudia Bauer

Chinchilla Asshole, whatwas (May 7-8), Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (Frankfurt), concept, text & direction Helgard Haug.

The Vacuum Cleaner (May 9-10), Münchner Kammerspiele, directed by Toshiki Okada.

All are performed in German. Chinchilla is streamed with English subtitles.
