Productions of Mary Anne Butler’s plays have largely been confined to Darwin, where she has lived since 2002. But since her play Broken collected the 2014 NT Literary Award for Best Script, the 2016 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards Drama prize and the $100,000 Victorian Prize for Literature, you can expect to see her work on stages everywhere – beginning with this adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice stories.
Dubs Yunupingu stars as a footy-loving Alice. Ebony Vagulans, Alex Packard and Drew Wilson feature. Cristabel Sved directs.
