Afterglow: Generations

Date: 29 May 2018

PACT Centre for Emerging Artists presents the world-premieres of new works by Cloé Fournier and Dean Walsh.

Fournier’s solo dance work, Humanoid, sees animal, human and robot converge to become a hybrid creature born from cultural socialisation. Fournier examines the metamorphosis of the female entity obliged to constantly adapt to a demanding society or to reconfigure, as a means for survival.

Following Humanoid, Walsh will present Threshold:NRC. Using movement and spoken word, he invites audiences to challenge their collective unease about contemporary politics and the environment.
