37 Ways to Say I’m Gay

Date: 31 Jan 2019

Written and directed by Wayne Tunks, a collection of coming out stories ranging from prehistoric to futuristic, from American to Australian, from city to county and from comedy to drama.

“It appears to be a very important time for a show like this,” says Tunks. “While the rights of the LGBT [community] slowly get better, it seems there is a lot of hatred and bigotry out there. Therefore we need art to celebrate gay people, and in this case, coming out; whether that be to family, friends, workmates and acquaintances. Because after all, as gay people, we never really do stop coming out”.

Tunks’ cast includes Mark Anderson, Emma Louise, Rhiaan Marquez, Suz Mawer, Jacinta Moses, Joshua North, Brendan Paul, Anton Smilek, Andrew Wang and Simeon Yialeloglou.
